MONICURE 400 Vaginal suppository

Description

PROPERTIES:
MONICURE 400 vaginal suppositories contain the broad spectrum antimycotic agent miconazole which exerts its potent fungicidal activity against the most common pathogenic fungi including Candida species. Miconazole is also effective against gram-positive bacteria staphylococcus and streptococcus spp.
MONICURE 400 provides prompt symptomatic relief of burning sensation and pruritus accompanying vaginal infections. MONICURE 400 therapy, therefore, result in complete clinical and mycological cure of candidal infection of the vagina. MONICURE 400 is considered the first line therapy in case of vulvovaginal candidiasis with excellent safety and tolerability.

Indications:
ϖ Vaginal or vulvovaginal candidiasis (moniliasis).
ϖ Vaginal superinfections due to gram-positive bacteria.

dosage and application:
One suppository to be inserted intravaginally once daily at bedtime for 3 consecutive days and may be up to 6 days in resistant and recurrent infections.

side effects:
MONICURE 400 vaginal suppositories are safe & well tolerated. Rarely, mild local irritation may occur.

Contraindications:
ϖ Hypersensitivity to miconazole nitrate.

precautions:
The usual feminine hygienic measures must be maintained during therapy. Miconazole-containing vaginal suppositories should not be used in the first trimester of pregnancy unless the physician considers the therapy to be necessary.

Packing:
A box containing 3 vaginal suppositories.

Storage:
Keep at a temperature (15-30C).
Keep out of reach of children.
